If you don’t have a wired Local Area Network (LAN) then here are some easy ways to create one:
Powerline Adaptors to extend/create a wired network
These are an inexpensive and simple way to create or extend a wired network from your router.
Pros:
- The Easiest way to create a wired network.
- Plug and Play – just plug them in and that’s it. No settings to mess up!
- Gives a good strong, stable connection
- Some have a “pass through” facility allowing you to plug in other mains appliances etc.
- No disruption to décor and no need for experts in wiring and circuitry
Cons:
- The devices need to be on the same circuit (mains ring)
- They need to be plugged directly into the socket (not extensions) so you may need one with a ‘Pass Through’.
